Default troubleshooting

ok everybody here should know alot about supras, am i right. well anyway my supra blew a head gasket i replaced it and then the fuel pump went out then i replaced that it runs now but it cuts out and acts like its going to die but it doesnt it idols at 500 rpm and then shoots back upto 2000 rpm i was wondering how i could fix that and then how to get it to run smoother like it was before everything went wrong

if air is getting in your intake past your afm but before your throttle body, that would mess with the idling. might take a look at that

and also my brake lights wont work they did before now they dont i have checked all of the fuses they worked before the car broke down, and then also would it be better to leave the car auto or convert it to 5 spd manual

na = naturally aspirated/non turbo
turbo = turbo

your engine either has a turbo or it doesn't

if it's turbo you may have a boost leak

mine is surging real bad also im thinking its the fuel filter i just havent checked it out yet you also might want to clean the throttle body while your at it

mine is non turbo and i found out that the intake was brittle and that is was broken here it goes on to the throttle body so i am going to go ahead and go with the cold air intake because it seems better than plastic

if it could be the fuel filter than where is it located, i saw a little round red thing in the tank i am wondering what it is>
