Hey everyone,
I just bought an '87 MK III Supra and I'm trying to take off my engine head to change the Head Gasket. I already took off the intake plenum, exhaust manifold, unscrewed the 14 headbolts, and the head is loose, but something is still holding it on pretty tight. I'm pretty certain it is being held on by this water fitting at the back (hot water to heater lines?) Does anyone know what size socket I need and how deep it'll have to be to clear the hose attachment? And do I have to take off the middle cover above the sparkplugs to get it off? Heres a pic of the fitting: ![]() I'd appreciate any help I can get (this is the 1st engine I've worked on) Thanks -Pascal |
