Default Hatch Problems

I took the Targa off and opened the hatch to put it up. I then closed it and went on my way. Later I went to put the top back on and I pull the hatch lever and nothing happed. Therefore I tried to use the key and well, it turned but the hatch didnt happen. In other words, IM screwed if it rains.

im not sure whats wrong with it.. but i can suggest.. unclipping the cover in the hatch if its on, if not.. fold down your seats and pull it out.. theres things to push down on the top of the rear seats.. and waalaa.. down go the seats, and out comes the top.

Default Lets not worry here!

First of all...KEEP TRACK OF THE WEATHER. Also you could go the ugly route, and fabricate a top out of wood, plastic, tarp....ANYTHING!!!. If you have spraypaint that is CLOSE....not exact, then you can make something out of a sheet of plywood, just cut to fit, and then bolt it on!

As for the latch...I'll go check it out on my supra...I'll put the top into my trunk, and then see if I can open the hatch through the back seats.....brb

Default Yeah Right!!!

Well there is physically NO POSSIBLE WAY to get at that latch without having to damage your top. Also the opening that the seats make when they are down, is not big enough to get that top out...unless it was sideways, but you could NEVER get it sideways with the hatch down.

Wow....ok, I really don't know how you can fix this. The hinges are only able to be got at with it up....so you can't remove the hatch. The top sits JUST below the latch, and doesn't give you room to work on it. Hmmmm.....I can only think that your cable snapped somewhere, but the latch has a dual cable system for the lock, and the pull thing in the cab. So to have BOTH snap....unlikely. If they are both in the "Unlocked" position (That would allow them to operate freely)...then maybe your latch is just caught on something. I would suggest getting SLIGHTLY rough with it, see if it comes open...other than that, I think you have to go to a garage for this one???
