Successful 7M-GTE swap into NA Supra
Has anyone in here swapped a 7M-GTE into a NA body successfully? I would like to get in contact with anyone that has and ask some questions.

I know about that site i just thought it would be better if i could hear from someone that has actually done it themselves. What was the hardest part? If you don't mind kinda recap what all you had to do.

I am actually in the middle of doing the swap. I just took both engines out, and put the gte in the n/a car. Now its all about hooking all the things back up. What’s your question, ill try to answer it.

the hardest part of the whole swap was find all the sensors need to complete the swap such as a air flow meter, hac sensor, ecu, wiring harness, ignitor and intercooler piping which is cheapest to custom make, other than that, it was pretty much simple. I bought most of my stuff on ebay but you just have to take the time to wait for the best price. Also for the oil cooler, I just bought a b and m tranny cooler from summit.

How did the re-wiring go to make the tach work? What else was really hard? Did you have to use the turbo drive-shaft? Will the NA LSD be alright cuz apparently there is a difference.

to make the tach work, you have to pull out the cluster and take out the tach gauge, behind the tach is a small little box with resistors on them. On mkiiitech they explain which resistors have to be cut out and the ohm value to replace them with, I soldered my on. And for the driveshaft, I stuck with the na 5-speed so I left the drive terrain alone and so far it's worked fine. My na came with lsd when i got it.

not bad,
how much was the engine itself, and when you got the engine, what else did you get what else should i ask to come with the engine all i can think of right now is the intercooler , and the ecu u said u used the same tranny right? what did you have to do to make it work did you customize anything to make it fit ? and how long did it take to get it done?
