I used to think that a Talon TSI was fwd and a Talon TSi was AWD. Apparently they are TSi and TSiAWD. His is a TSi (seen the emblem) and is def. fwd.
The MK3 is an automatic. We were looking for this project to be less than a grand. It doesnt look like that is possible unless these parts are much cheaper than I expect. This Talon has the capabilities to run mid-high 13 sec 1/4mi times but I bet he cant get better than low 14s due to front trash. Oh well, I guess I'll just break out the ol' American muscle to do the trick.

Im sure it could....But im sure that trans am or camaro would have a much easier time as they both come stock with 300+ hp to the wheels. (i know, my uncle ran his on a dyno bone stock except new tires and got 302 hp) And the cars are advertised as having 305 hp...BS! more like 340.

Yes, they are 5.7L v8s. Or ls1s, as they are called. Im just saying gm advertises them at much lower power #s then they actually make. And no, they dont need 400 hp, lol. They are very fast cars. You have to ride in one. They have a perfect powerband and they just feel beautiful under acceleration.

Thats an lt1. But 455 hp is still nice. 97-02 camaros and trans ams are the ls1, which is a badass motor. I would like to get my hands on one.

It's Simple!
Well you wanted a sleeper that would beat that Tallon, well I suggest simply paying him $500 to go less than you, and then use the other $500 to put a cold air intake onto your N/A.
3700lbs Vs. 2600lbs.....yeah, he kinda has the advantage. However you DO have about 40lbs in sound dampening throughout your car. And you could lighten things up by bolting a new seat into your drivers side (The power one weighs ALOT...over 100lbs aparently). There are MANY things that you can do to lighten your car up. Next you could go with the cold air intake, it has been said, but I am saying it again. After that, you may want to run 50% 130 octane aviation fuel (Just go to a smaller airport, and ask to buy some of their fuel for a cessna 152, or 172...they both use the gas I am talking about), and then 50% NORMAL fuel....NOT PREMIUM. Your octane should balance around 103...or so. With a slightly lighter car, with a cold air intake (And they really don't make that much of a sucking noise), and running 103 octane fuel......you will at least keep up with him, and thats all you need till your longer legs kick in....we have top end!!!
