i put in my new electric fan into my 87 NA, and it still wont cool. im not sure how much air this thing is supposed to blow, but either its not blowing enough or im overlooking something. given that the car still cools a little by reving it, i was thinking it was something other than the fan. damaged water pump? im gonna inspect it tomorrow following the tsrm to see what i find.
also, with my fan on, my idle isnt as smooth as with the fan off. i did disconnect the ac fan; i wanted to run my new fan from there, but i found that the ac fan wasnt working. what electrical problem would that be? bad connection or malfunctioning fan? since the new fan didnt work either i think its electrical. is there any place where there is good electrical diagrams? i think i might have to redo everything from scratch. help appreciated. |
