Intercooler differences

I was wondering if anyone knows the differences if any between the intercoolers on the mkIII, i have a 91 and was wondering if an 87 intercooler would fit my car?

Any suggestions... Answers?

any differences between an 87 intercooler and 91?

part numbers are different but didn't know if there were physical differences between them?
