3.0T Vs 2.5Bi-T
 

Well, I just recently saw a 2.5 Bi-Turbo MKIII, and I have a 3.0T which has less HP. I was wondering, cause I'm a noob on turbo's... Can it be done to set-up a bi-Turbo for my own MKIII? And what tweaks need to be done?

It would be cheaper to just upgrade the single turbo you already have.

money isn't an issue, but which one is more powerful in the end?

A big single turbo is usually faster in the end. Thats y most of the MKIV guys usually go single.

question about twins

are the inline turbos the same size?
if not which one is bigger the front or back?
shouldnt they make a small and a big one

and does any company started making those variable turbos
bmw has developed that technology
it a big turbo with movable fins around the turbines
which closes in low speeds/rpm and opens in high speeds/rpm
so in low speeds it can spool up quickly without lag
and in high speeds it wont choke on exhaust

The front turbo is for the first 3 cylinders and the rear turbo for the last 3 so they are the same size.

yeah standard CT26's... that's why I wondered... cause I can get performance parts very easily through a friend that has a sponsored deal. So I was kinda wondering to get 2 big turbo's in for max performance. Dunno if it would do any good though...

Yes someone does make these turbos, the only thing is that its for pickups. Banks power makes them , i seen them on an episode of Extreme 4x4. They are just plain out nuts. Im sure someone could figure out how to put it on a supra though.

the big question with variable turbos is:
how do you control the fin when opening and closing?
is it electronically controlled?
or by just the mass of air coming in into the turbo?
