okay maybe not the best topic in the world but I tried to make my fuel mixture ratio a little more lean which didn't work out so well so i put the AFM cog back to the stock position and have gotten the same reaction: It idles all funky it will drop down to 500 RPM and sound like it is getting ready to die (kinda like put put put and ill throw it in nuetral and hit the accelerator and itll go to idling at around 650-700 RPM which is fine but the put put while barely noticable is still there. What the funk? it actually died on me yesterday at a stop sign. Anyone know what the problem is?

this is my opinion, if its wrong sumbody correct me
what do you make it run more lean? thats asking to damage your engine cuz that would mean you had to tighten the spring tension on the afm to fool the ecu to think that it recieving less air than it is and it will send less fuel, so this way youll ber running with more air and less fuel ergo lean condition if you lessend the spring tension tho, you probly messed up the afm, now the trap door is so loose on the afm its f(_)ckin the ecu, to think that it getting more air than it actually does so now its sending more fuel now your engine is chocking (drowning) cuz youre running too rich thats why its died on you by the way how is youre gas consumption? is it really bad? jus out of curiousity

Try this....with engine off...remove the neg. battery terminal for 10 minutes. This will clear the ECU. Then re-attach the terminal and drive the car for 10-20 min in city and hwy. Shut it off for a minute, theen drive ir again. This will cause the ECU to 're-learn', and may solve the problem.

You can adjust the screw in the back of the trottle body a little to bring up the idle rpm and then just recheck the tps sensor when done. Im not talking about the normal adjustment on the linkkage either. The actual throttle stop can be screwed in a little after you loosen up the 8mm nut I beleive it is.

Thanks worked perfect. I took it up to 90 but the sound still occurred :-( it is coming from the engine compartment not the underside so i dont think it s the drivetrain or the tranny.
