farrari might be stretching it...far.

the f50 was designed to race. and for the track. you might have a hard time beating one.

lots of power and light

"Rather drive that than some swapped Honda I see 10 times a day..."

come on, lets keep hondas out of this, they are good cars. They have good numbers on them, only flaw is FWD. If they were RWD, then, you could do a nice vs match with them. Even still with fwd you can (more so on the integras (honda owned)). I like the mk3 and think for what it does, it's a great car.

PEace...........

Talking Knowledge works.

[I love my MKIII, and can afford it fine. But some people have lots of $$ to put onto a car, and if going insanely fast is what you want, an MKIII is not it.]

.................................................. ....

I'm talking...INSANELY fast. Apparently you have not gone 180, 200, or 230 mph in a drag car. Its a RUSH !!!

Also...
http://auto.consumerguide.com/Auto/U...arreviewspecs/

Stock specs of the 3kgt

All 3000GTs from 1991 to 1996 used a 3.0-liter V6 engine with dual-overhead camshafts. A normally aspirated version went into base and midrange models, developing 222 horsepower (218 in '97). The hottest model, the VR-4, got a twin-turbo rendition that made 300 horsepower (increased to 320 for 1994)

Stock ...MKIII...N/A = 200hp....Turbo = 230hp.

Like I said, I love my car, and plan on keeping it for a very long time. Its a pleasure to drive.

But, as you may have (or not) noticed, I NEVER have to swear, or call anyone an idiot. Those ways of communication speak "volumes" about the knowledge, age, and experience of the speaker.

I just have lots of car experience....40 years to be precise.

And I have lots of experience researching the facts, too.

Well put mrnickleye, hopefully this issue is now put to rest, and hopefully something will be learned from you statement about communication. While reading this post I kept expecting to see Ya, well my dad could beat up your dad, because that is about the age level this thread reminded me of.

So this whole time we were talking about drag cars? Thats cool, you've gone really fast in a drag car. We are talking about street cars, 3000gt vs mk3. Either car can win, it all comes down to driver and hp. Hp can be made in a mk3 just like any other car.

Thats all common knowledge, I'm glad you were able to find that through your research. Stock values don't matter as we were talking about modded cars. Like I said before, stock vs stock the vr4 wins.

BWHAHAHA. Calm down there speed racer. I have the heaviest non turbo 3S and I can beat my friend's 87 Turbo pretty good. Although obviously his has 200k on it...Please don't talk when you don't know what you're talking about, the VR4/Stealth TTs run mid-high 13s bone stock, intake, mbc, exhaust = 12s.

LOL, this made me crack up. 3000GTs' repairs fucking suck. They break so much its retarded....everything on my NA seems to have broken once. As far as weight, they weigh 3800lbs. not too far off from the Supra's 3500. If you can't "afford repairs" then don't get a 3000GT. Everything for them is expensive, they break a lot (t-case lockups/tranny synchros/spun bearings/timing component faliures etc.), and you don't sound too mechanically inclined, so don't even think about buying one unless you plan on spending an assload of money to get it running right. Finding a shop that even knows what they're doing is hard also, most Mitsu dealers don't know shit. Only thing good about owning my NA is how much it taught me to work on cars because of when it would break when I'd be broke and I'd fix it myself since I had no cash lol.

Good things = The styling is way ahead of its time, its a lot faster, throw bigger turbos on it (say 13gs) with supporting mods and you have an 11 second 400+whp street car in 100% street trim If you want a "nice" car that can beat most on the street than go for it, but its not exactly a good track car as its handling its not the best.

I have a friend that has both and says they're both good at what they do because the Supra is more fun to drive sometimes b/c of RWD, but the VR4 is fast and fun because the AWD pins you back in your seat.

I like my friend's Supra because its sooooooo easy to work on compared to my Stealth (TTs are harder to work on) but I dunno which one I'd pick...

3S = Nicer interior, nicer exterior, faster, shit breaks, expensive parts, hard to work on, higher value.

My only general maintance complaint about the supra is about changing the damn spark plugs. What a pain in the ass. Well maybe not. Just time consuming...and having to pull off all those damn parts off thetop of the engine. other than that I wouldnt trade my suprafor anything in the world. Except maybe two supras :-)

Its a piece of cake compared to a plug/wire job on a 3S...
