trans rebuild question
 

does anyone know the average cost of a transmission rebuild if like i got it down at a shop? thanks

ive got a 5 speed and one place told me about 750$ to take it out and rebuild it not including parts. ive got a bad throw-out bearing or input bearing and it wont stay in first or third. ill probably just take it out myself and have a friend rebuild it. the same place told me 450 just to swap them if i had one to go in.
