painting my grill?
have any of you ever done this before? i was thinking of painting my grill silver, to match the color of my car. what do you guys think? or maybe i should do something like red? think it would look good. give me your opinions :D
|
Paint it yellow, thats good for like 10hp I think.
|
ah yes, yellow = fast. forgot that. i just wanted to paint my lower grill, the big one silver to match. i just dont know how its gonna look
|
thought about that too,
it will look cheesy with the matching colors and that part of the car doesnt need anymore attention to it paint it a nice black it will give your car a more aggressive look rather than a soft look with matching grills |
yea, it'll probibly look alot better if i go from the dull black look of plastic to a gloss black of spray paint?
|
gloss black i think would look nice ;)
|
yup gloss black
cuz if you decide to match your lower bumper youre gonna end up needing to match the upper bumper, then the moulding beside it then around the car and then, well you know what i mean |
Black is good, blue goes with silver good to. I'd probably go black, blue will stand out more.

Try paint shop pro. I think you can change colors that way and see what you like. Who knows, you might just like purple and gold..........who knows!

On my n/a both grills and all the belt trim or whatever its called, I painted it all flat black primer. It came out nice. It kinda stands out in these pictures.

Hmmm
Lol...I am still laughing about the cliff thing...lol!
I was going to say you might as well just tell him to redo his interrior in Bright Yellow Leather.....cause if that other little piece gave you 10HP...hell YELLOW leather should be good for another 130 at least! But more seriously here, I have to ask Isphius something...what is with the welded on pipe off of your muffler? Looks like the thing stick out a good 6 inches at least! |
Haha, Thats my dads handy work. He didnt feel like cutting it. And the muffler was kinda far in, So he was like SAEGHSGH IT NEEDS AN EXTENSION! And i wasnt gonna argue with him. I was gona cut it and put a shiny tip on (the small kind), But i just sold my car instead

my old man does the same shit
you know he bad luck to me everytime he comes around when im working on sumthing im bound to fuck up and sumthing is horribly gonna go wrong that why everytime he comes over when im doing sumthing i jus stop and walk away |
lol. Maybe its just you. J/K. My dad does know his shit but his head is stuck in 1980. Lol. He knows every little thing about every chevy ever made, And hates ford with a passion. He HATES that I have 2 toyotas. And he hates even more that I can beat him in them. Even though my first car was a monte carlo that I built and dropped a 300hp small block into... And then an 86 s10 with a 3.4 dohc v6 and a 5 speed...and then a 91 buick regal, And then an olds cutlass, Im still a "rice burner" to him lol.
