need advise on if I should sell/buy
Hi again all.
After reading MANY of the posts here I have come to a turning point in my supra life. I have a 88 N/A auto targa and a 86.5 N/A auto. One runs, the other doesn't. The one that runs has ALOT of issues that need to be fixed, the 88, engine oil leak, shot bushings, leaking PS pump... the other hasn't been started in 5 years, and is finally getting the motor put in it... I bought it from a guy at work with a BHG for 800 and it's just been a thorn in my side ever since. So my dilema, both are autos... I could do a conversion, but 1. I'm not very mechanically inclined so wouldn't be able to do it myself, and 2. I have no garage to do it in anyway. I would really like a manual, N/A or turbo doesn't really matter, I'm happy with the power of the N/A 88 I have, little more would be good, but again doesn't really matter to me, it's a fun car to drive, minus the no manual tranny... My options so far that I can think of is sell both as a pair, driver and parts car, and go in search of a manual targa 86.5 - 92 supra thats in good to excellent condition.... OR pour more money into the ones I have when I know I'd be happier with a manual. This really wouldn't be a question if I had the technical know-how to do a swap myself, but I don't. If I had seen this forum before buying the 88, I probably wouldn't have bought it. It needed too much work done to it, but I didn't realize it. Anyway let me know what you guys think. I know ultimately it's my decision but I'd at least like more opinions on it! Either way I'm going to be driving a supra, I can't stop now that I've started. |

Sell em both. Go for one you like. Its a lot of work to do the swap, Especially when your going to have to do other stuff first.
