ive been leaking oil on my 87 supra so i replaced the pan gasket and just noticed the other day the oil is leaking around the valve covers i was wondering if it could be a headgasket starting to go or if i could just tighten the head down.( really dont want to put new gasket in plan on doing the 7mgte swap this winter) Please help plus lately its been hard to shift into any gear reverse is the worst bad tranny??

i aint 100% sure about where your oil is coming from by what you say but if its the cam covers on the top of the engine held down with the cross screws then its quite normal for these to shake loose and a re tighten soon solves the problem,

yea thats were its leaking from. u just think they need tobe tighten down? thanks. i also fixed the shifting problem leaking clutch slave cylinder. thanks again

yeah its a common problem for them to come loose, tightening them back down should work but if they are really loose then maybe a quick replacement of the screws would work
