Is there any other reason besides head gasket that would cause this? I am having the compression test done in a day or two, but it is driving me crazy waiting on my mechanic to do this, and give me the results.
I just bought the car, and seem to have a lot of the common problems that everyone else has. It is a very clean 89' turbo with 82k miles on it. The reason that I am asking, the car has a 1.5mm MHG and port/polished head done on 7/26/04, and only 5k miles since then. If too much boost will blow a gasket, then that is what happend. He had the manual boost set @ 20psi!!!!! I have dissconnected the manual boost control, and going to install an electronic one after I fix the water problem. Michael |
