rpm don't go past 3500-4000 range
I need help please, I have a 88 supra turbo and when i first work on the head gasket I took all the plugs and censor offs, I got the car working nows and every thing is alrights except for the censor that hang off the main harness in the engine bay that goes down and on top of the transmission. Will i can't put that censor bak unless i drop the transmission, kinda obvious but just wondering is that why my supra don't get any power past 3500 range rpm? The car boost at 5-6 alreadys to 3500 but i won't pick up any speed after that. Can that censor be my problem or can it be sumthing else?

How Did You Take It Off Anyways? Did You Pull The Trans. Off To Do The Headgasket?
What I Did Was Cut That Wire Instead Of Removing That Sensor...and After I Spliced Back With A Shrinkwrap Butt Conector. Saves A Lot Of Time |

Well i just pulled it out, but turns out its not that, that censor is just the back up light switch. I lower the transmission and plug it bak on todays butta the car still runs the same. Still getting that speed cut at 3500-4000 help any1?

Check the timing belt alignment. Even one tooth off can cost you power and revs.

A plugged exhaust will create too much back pressure and wont let you rev up.

That is what happens to cats when they start to clog up too. Chop it off and replace it with a pipe and see if that helps.

Yes, on a good cat (in your hands), you should be able to hold it up and look outside the garage (daytime) and see light thru it.
