Default Wanna install electric fan....

I want to replace the stock fan with an electrical fan. I was wondering if I could pull the stock fan and clutch out and just wire an electrical fan in. My question is concerning the two smaller fans just to the side of the main one. Is there any way I could wire my new electrical fan into those smaller fans. Basically, are those fans made to turn on when the block gets too warm, so that the main fan would do the same? That way I wouldnt have to pull the whole fan shroud out of the car, because I dont know how important those two smaller fans are.

Those 2 fans come on when the a/c high side pressure reaches a certain level. Usually on in slower driving, but can go off when out on the hwy, as enough air flowing will lower the pressure.

Read "need some advice" in the general section.

Also try the 'search' function for related threads on electric fans. I know I've explained my setup several times.

Cool

my electric fan is tapped into the wires for the small fans
the fan comes on when the engine reaches a certain temp then stays on

^^^ the N/A cars are set up differently. The little fans only come on with the a/c. Except mine, cause I wired a grounding switch inside at the coin holder so I can turn them on whenever I want.

The turbo cars have a temp switch at the thermstat housing that actuates the fans too.

Ever since I got my engine rebuilt, those fans kick in and they are loud as hell. They are really annoying. I was hoping an electric fan would replace them but I guess not.

Perhaps (not maybe) the temp switch is bad, and allowing the fans to come on too early. When the A/C is off, They are only needed at slow speeds around town, and prolonged idle.

Where is the temp switch located, and how do I go about checking if it is fouled up?

the two fans come on when you use a/c but the engine gets to hot it will kick in to aid main fan its ok part of cars programme the engines on the supra are very hot runners
