Default smell of burnt oil?

i have a 1989 n/a automatic, after a long drive and pushing my car. i smell burnt oil, its depressing the smell of burnt oil, very sad. i dontknow what to do, i never had the problem before im mean i only have 80k miles on it, but yet agian my dad really didnt take care of the car. im just wondering if there is anything i can do to fix the problem? ive been putting 1 quart a month in the tank due to oil burning =\

does ur coolant level ever go down? do u need to replace ur coolant often? if so then welcome ot the world of blown headgaskets. and if not, u culd just be burning oil sumwhere. turbo maybe. i dk.

Check for oil leaks under the car, you could be getting oil drip on your exhaust pipe at high speeds from a leak. If it's clean underneath then you have a more serious engine problem, rings, head gasket, etc...

Default I Have A Blown Head !

well its final, i dont have a milky oil cap, but i do get white smoke, burnt oil smell and slow starts and junk my car is hella slow =\ wow the worst 2 days here i come!! might as well change the timing belt as well right?

I would since you're gonna have the head off anyway.. if you have the cash, get the head planed, and if you have more cash get the head rebuilt. ARP head stud kit just because you'll have the head off anyway. If not make sure they/you torque the bolts down to 70+ ft/lbs. That is... if it's in your budget, sometimes it's not....
