First of all I would like to say hello to everyone on the forum and thank you for all the great information.
I have just recently bought an automatic 1988 Mk.III turbo, when I went to check the car out it had no signs of a BHG ( No milky oil, no oil mixed in the coolant, etc ) and when started it sounded like it ran great. So I drove it home (aprox. 200 km / 120 miles), then in the morning I went out to move it. Right away I knew something was off.. the dreaded waterfall sound, but the odd part is no sign to indicate a BGH besides the waterfall. So I am thinking its the first stages of a BGH, if anyone has any other ideas besides a BGH I am all ears. But it looks like I'll have to do a MHG upgrade a few months early. WrenchMonkey.
