Rebuilding turbo
I have now ordered my turbo rebuilding kit. So my question is, is it easy to rebuild a turbo? I heard something about balancing the compressor wheel. I'm planning on doing it myself. (hopefully)

I rebuilt my HKS T4 turbo the only problem I had was installing the compressor seal it was a little brass seal with a carbon fiber peice that had to be pressed into the back fo the compressor wheel plate, Need less to say I had to by another seal because I broke the carbon fiber in a bunch of little ity bity peices. I asked the guy that I got it from which he owns his own turbo rebuild shop, how I can install it with out a press, I asked if I could use a c clamp he said that would work and to use a socket that would only touch the brass not the carbon. It took a while but I got it. And make for damn sure you put everything back in its specific place and orintation!!! The rest of the turbo is easy as cake!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hope I dont run into problems rebuilding it. So i guess its not neccesary balance my compressor wheel.

Well I'm not sure about that. I didn't but the guy I got the kit from did not say I had to. What turbo do you have?

I have a stock CT-26 turbo.

That should be easy to rebuild, Like I said in my erlier post make sure you put everything back the way it was. If not you can brake stuff or do damage to the turbo over time.:)
