Hey im looking for a project car and i found a 1987 supra its not a turbo but its a 5speed withpower windows power locks and whatnot is got a bad tranny is it worth 500 for a project car or should ikeep looking? and how ahrd are is it to find a tranmission for one of them? what would be a rough price ona tranny?

i have a spare tranny here. im asking 75$ plus shipping. your local salvage yard might have one in stock. over here, they usually run around 100-150$. it just depends on where ur at. the 87' is a heavier body that the 82-86s, so its going to take a bit more power to move the car. the non-turbo tranny wont hold much power either. so if u plan on going turbo, get the turbo tranny along with the drive shafts and flywheel.
