Hello

I have an 89' Supra Turbo and the turbo for an unknown reason don't boost up when accelarating in neutral, but when is actually running in gear it boost up. No boost when is in neutral and boost when running. What could be the problem since other cars boost up when parked an in neutral and my doesn't? Let me know if you have any suggestions about that but to let you know the turbo is ok. Thanks.

hey

there is absolutely nothing wrong with your turbo at all
other cars that boost in neutral are usually because they are small fast spool turbos and don't require alot to spool
your car is behaving perfectly normal don't worry

Ok Gracias for you answer. You know I also have a problem that I will rebuild the engine because is sending oil to the air intake and the sprk plugs are full of oil. I change the turbo thinking that it was the problem but it looks like my valve retainers (rubber rings) are wear out. What do you think about that? Thanks again for your reply.

ok i wouldn't rebuild your engine just yet....

have you check your valve covers/rocker covers/cam covers to make sure the gaskets aren't leaking... they could be leaking oil down and when you remove the spark plug the oil is just flooding them as you pull it out.. it may not necessarily be your rings....
check your valve covers first (get some high temperature silicon and lightly around the gaskets put a little film of silicon... not too much because you don't want it going inside the head.. or just buy some new gaskets and clean the surfaces of the head so no grime is on there)
clean all your plugs

does your car smoke? if it does when does it
morning white smoke is normal
what colour?

when you pull out your plugs and clean it all up when you start your car there will be huge plumes of smoke but they will clear

let me know how you get on so far and i will continue

good luck
