question about fuel tank
anybody know how much fuel a 1986.5 NA 5 speed manual tranny holds in gas? i think my gas gauge is messed up.

i think the tanks hold about 15 gallons plus a little.

yeah, mine was like 13 or 14 gallons to fill up. same here with the messed up gas gauge. when i filled it up it went haywire, And when it was low the gauge would go all the way down to the light, and i never ran it out of gas. It sputtered once, When it was all the way down, But i still drove like 10 miles before a gas station. I managed to squeeze 22 mpg out of my car one time. yay for grannie driving.

Supposed to be an 18 gallon tank. Most I've ever gotten mine down to was 15.2 gallons on fill-up.

cool when mine gets to E it takes me 12 gallons to fill it up.it then goes to full till i get to my first turn then goes down to half and stays there for a few days. then drops to E and i put 12 gallons in so at least i know i got some leeway before i run out
