Nice clean car you have. It seems to me that a stock clutch costs about that much, so that seems like a good deal.

Thats what I was thinking. Thanks for the comment. I like this car a lot, It needs some work though. But not a whole lot.
I dont know about a stage 3, i have heard from alot of supra owners around here, that the stage 3 doesnt last very long, they are saying about every 6 months you need to replace it. I put a Zoom stage 2 in mine, with a 11lbs flywheel, i love it, the flywheel lets the motor rev alot quicker..
Does the Zoom stage 2 shave any weight over the stock setup? Ive been procrastinating about getting a fidanza flywheel but the price and the fact that they allways seem to be backordered puts me off a little.
Well, i think that the zoom clutch assembly is a little lighter, its all in the flywheel though. The stock flywheel is 16.5 pounds, the zoom is 11 lbs. big difference for rotating mass!!
That will make you lose some torque to though wont it?
yeah i heard that too if you get a light wieght flywheel and drive shaft you will lose a lot of torque so think im just ganna get a regular clutch, steel one piece drive shaft, and an aluimnium flywheel just to offset it.
Thats a myth, think about it, the less the motor has to work, the more hp, and torque you are going to gain. Think about it this way, if you rev up the motor with a stock clutch and etc. it takes an average of 1.5 seconds to hit rev limit, if you take the same motor with a light flywheel, it will tak about 1 sec, to hit limit. So therefore the less the motor has to work, the more power you can get. why do you think that big engine builders use light weight cranks and pistons now, to get more power and torque.
Ok thanks for the answer about the weight. Ill research it some more. Im mainly concerned that if I put in the lighter flywheel then possibly Ill be adding weight back with a heavier duty clutch.
