head gasket bolts
hey guys and girls. yesterday i finished changing my valve cover gaskets and i was wondering, i saw these bolts. i was wonderoing if they r the bolts to tighten down my head gasket, they looked like 12mm allen head bolts. r these the ones i retorque down to tihgten my hg? and if those were them, would i just loosen them to get to my hg? if so, changin a hg would be a very easy job. i changed my gaskets quite easily. pics will be up soon.

head studs
those things are called head studs. people usually torque them down to 75 ft-lbs. you should tighten them again after 600 miles by the way, torque them down to 85 ft-lbs.

He said allen head bolts so im guessing they are head bolts not studs and yes those are the ones you take out and no its deffinatly not a easy process. Trust me i have done it twice now. If you do replace it I HIGHLY reccomend from experience get the metal HKS gasket and ARP headbolts. It will save you money in the longrun.

bov = blow off valve
it's a valve that controls the air that was forced into your intake but didn't get used when you close the throttle that forced air needs to escape or it could cause the turbo to back spin
