Rebuilt turbo now.
Hey, I rebuilt my stock turbo myself and it seems to be working allright.
The only thing is that my turbo dosent go all the way to 8 on the boost gauge now. Does the turbo need a break in time when rebuilt? |

It isnt supposed to go that high stock. lol. I dont really know what would cause it to be lower after a rebuild, unless you did something wrong.

Well before I rebuilt the turbo it did go all the way to 8 but the turbo bearing inside was really bad(real bad shaft play), maybe thats why. But right now it goes to like 5 or 6 on the boost gauge. And everything in the turbo was put back like it was before, so I guess its working under normal conditions right now. thanks

Allow about 100-200 Kilometers (too lazy to trans to miles) for breakin than -pst if it has gotten back to what it used to be. But he is right 8 is too high stock and for a rebuild your right at where you outta be.

I thought stock would only get to like +4. When i origionally got my supra it woldnt get 8 but one day i noticed it was hittin 8 so i was like wtf. Then i noticed a huge dent in the bottom of my intercooler which was the cause of this issue. Now that i semi fixed this dent it only gets what it used to.

I think I read somewhere that stock is 6, I don't own a turbo so I can't verify that.
