Das....just swap in the 2JZ...its cheaper and its easier. The V-8 swap is a p-ain in the arse. The wiring is diffrent and if you dont have alot of time than the V8 is not something you want to do.

It would def not be cheaper to put a 2jz in. lol. Whats good about a 350, You can get a stock HO with 330 hp and 380 ft lbs of torque. And it will last forever as long as you keep the temps down and the oil changed.

Good luck with the swap.
Let me know how it goes, I'm interested. Particularly in the tranmission selection and work. Gonna go with any kind of forced induction(Super, turbo, nitrous)? |

Why not do an LS1 with a T56?
You can pick up a wrecked LS1 Camaro or TA for $3,500 and under. |

You will never be able to get an ls1 car that cheap. lol. At least not around here. Even a crashed trans am or camaro around here is 7 or 8k with all its drivetrain intact. Plus, LS1s are very expensive and hard to get parts for. Go with a straight up small block, the 55-86 kind. That is the most comon motor in the world. More than 55 million produced. And I would suggest going auto. No clutch to mate up, the shifter wont end up in the wrong place, etc. Then all you have to do, is measure your driveshaft and take it to a good shop to get it chopped down and get a chevy U joint put on the end. And then with a carb you dont have to worry about computers, wires, fuel return lines, sensors, etc. Just a fuel line, a few vaccum hoses, and a battery wire. lol. I would love to put some sidedraft carbs on a 7mge. Yay for power.

389 ci. chevy in 1986.5 supra
I started building a fast, reliable, cheap, sleeper. Out of a 1986.5 supra, of course the cheap didnt last too long with the 2-stage nitrous, forged pistons, forged crank, pink rod and 10.5 compression. backed with a 700-4r tanny. the einge only costed me 3, maybe 3500$. Any tips on enigne mounts was gonna go with front mounts but need to hook up a/c comp and P/S Too.
