thanks J3PZ, I will definetily need those blessings and thanks for doin that.
I drove it today all day and have'nt seen any unussual heating issues or loss of coolant. although yesterday after I took the previous pictures and 15 minutes after I got the engine running id did over heat a bit...upon closer inspection I noticed lack of coolant but no leakage at all. Must have been an air pocket because it took about a gallon of coolant/water. after i filled it up I havent seen any coolant loss on the radiator or reservoir...Thanks supra gods...!!! like i said, I drove it a lot today and havent had to add a bit of water to the radiator or reservoir. At last the supra is at home and my kids are so happy...too sad its getting a bit cold here in Georgia to take the targa top off. allready installed the stereo and checked all the lights. here are a few pictures more...I'm so happy to be driving the Super again..lol |

My paranoya is slowly going away, unfortunately after reconecting the PCM after the head gasket repair, the evil code 52 appeared. now I will be checking the wiring to the knock sensors and possibly rewireing it using the coax cables refered to in http://oldschool.supracentral.com/ .its a posibility the wires came loose at the pcm since I noticed that there are some spliced coax cables near the pcm conector from the previous owner. I did notice some surge under boost that wasnt there before I repaired the headgasket but can easyly be a by-product of the CODE 52 retarding or advancing the timing under load.. has anyone else suffered from this with code 52? |
