Guess you gotta ask yourself, what you'd enjoy more. Way I see it you have 4 options.
1. The car stereo DVD player combo - Will you watch it in your car? 2. HP upgrades, Pretty much what Suppra_girl said. 3. Handling upgrades, Coilovers, wheels, tires, strut tower bars front and rear, beefier anti-sway bars. 4. do a combination of the 3 to suit everything you want in small moderation. Get the exhaust done, and the coilovers with the stereo. Get the other upgrades later as you get $$

Get a boost gauge too, if you decide to mod it. What I personally would do to at totally stock car... New springs and shocks, upgrade and replace brakes, 1 piece driveshaft, nice stereo/speakers/sub/amp, mentioned remote start alarm, DP and catback exhaust, And new wheels and tires. Then you can keep adding stuff as you go. Thats of course if you haev a good HG and no mechanical problems, like everyone said. and for good reason. lol.
