okay so i finished puting together my wiring harness and i go to connect it to the ecu and it does not fit i'm using the japanese harness but i made it longer to reach but now i find that it doesn't even fit in my ecu umm is there a difference between japanese ecu and an american ecu? and do i need to get a japanese ecu to make things work? this is bad if someone could help me quickly that would be great!

hmmm... you didn't check what colour it was to match your ecu first did ya

either you have a yellow plug harness trying to fit a grey plug ecu orrrrr you have a grey plug harness trying to fit a yellow plug ecu

or to make things more fun, you have an 89 grey plug trying to fit a 90+ or vice versa

what year is yours and what year is the engine & harness you have?

89 or 90+ harness?

does the big square plug, plug into your dash? or does that one not fit either?

instead of doing a big rewire just jump in the wanted forum and post up a wtb ad for a yellow plug gte harness

is the yellow plug ecu your original ecu?

k so it's an 89 grey plug harness... so you have two options

get a 89 (must not be 90-92) grey plug ecu or yellow plug harness... since you went through the effort of lengthening the harness you'll probly wanna grab a grey plug ecu heh

post in the wtb section for an 89 gte ecu
