Wiring?????
Well we went to crank the motor over and get the oil pump primed and get oil pressure before we put the turbo on it. I cant get it to crank. All it does is click, i have a battery charger on it and everything. There are 2 wire connectors down by the starter. They have round connectors like it bolts to something. I have a positive going to the starter, and the 1 wire also. I still cant get it figured out?? Help please, our turbo will be here tuesday and i want to start this motor really bad. i cant figure out were those 2 other wires go. I NEED HELP BAD. IM LOSING MY MIND ON THIS CAR. thanks for all the help though guys/ and girls!! lol.

i dont know much about turbos, but i know that you cant start your car if your intake is incomplete. so without your turbo on, how is air getting into your engine? on an n/a, air goes straight from the filter to the throttle body. it is my understanding that with a turbo it goes from filter to turbo to innercooler to throttle body, or something close to that. maybe running oyur intake straight to your throttle body for now will help get t started.
and just a clicking sound sounds like you might have a bad starter. but idk what those two wires your talking about are so those could be your problem right there. |
Im not trying to start it, i just want to crank it over for a little while to get the oil pump primed. We are going to try and jump the starter to see if it will even crank, i was going to look for some wire schematics to try and figure out those other to wires, but if anyone knows, i would appreciate the help.

ground a test light and place the tip into the signal wire (small conector) have someone hit the switch and see the test light light up...
now the two round connector that u see that apparently u dont know where they go are the knock sensors conectors...see this link...http://www.toyota-supra.info/forums/...ead.php?t=6577 |
another important thing is that you should make sure that the block has been properly grounded....

well i figured out the problem, it was the battery, and cables. those two connectors arent t=for the knock sensors... they are connectors that like need to be bolted to something. i still cant figure it out..

lol...thats very funny....
