Whatelse could it be?

Hello again. Hope someone out there could give any other idea. I bought a 1986.5 supra manuel non-turbo. For me and my son to fix tune-up as my son would say. I noticed after I got a oil change that it was leaking oil real bad from under the harmonic balencer. So we replaced the front seal and put it all back together agian then noticed when it was turned back on it looked like it was leaking from the oil pan so I spent 4 days to figure out how to get the oil pan off, the seal was shot there was only like ATC so i replaced and put back together again, and that thing is still leaking right under the harmonic Bal.

Only leaks when the engine is on. Whatelse could be leaking? behind the harmonic bal? Any ideas would be great. Thanks.

Jason

There is a small drain hole there at the bottom timing belt cover.

The camshaft seals are a known leak place, and the oil would run down and drip from that hole.

How do you fix it? I already replaced it once in the last week?

jbandson..you said you replaced the front crank seal allready..not the cam seals.

you will have to remove the top timming cover and then the two cam gears, try to pull them out,if you cant probably you will need to remove the valve covers and then unbolt and remove the camshafts.the seals will come attached to the cams and can easily be removed...remember to keep all the parts in their respective order.

do not use a gasket/sealer on the cam seals there are designed to not need a sealer

OK I am confused.
