Well there is also the chance that the sending units are both bad. You can short them both out for a few seconds if you have someone watching the guages and see if they move the full range or not. If not then it is the guage, if they do move all the way then it is probably the sending units, or the wires connected to them.
Let us know. Russ |
Alright, after driving yesterday it was a bit warmer. The heat got up to about 1/3. The heater seems to work ok, it never gets too hot but my other car is the same way.
I'm going to observe the oil guage today and see where it's at while driving different speeds. I'll also feel the hoses after the 15 min trip to school. Thanks. |
When i first started it the oil goes all the way up and stays for like 5-8 mins. After that it drops down to about 35-60ish psi at idle and goes up while moving.

if your oil pressure is really that high your going to fry your pump. So i would sya take it easy...and dont drive the car as much as possible. And as for the temp, borrow a temp gauge. If the radiator gets up to 180-200 degrees, than your temp gauge is just broke. If its lower, Its a thermostat. Uusually people have problems iwth their car overheating and stuff lol. Never seen an underheating problem before. I

What would cause this?
|
clogged filter, clogged passages, or dirt in the pump. Def change the filter and oil and see if it goes down.

Few days ago i changed the oil to mobil 1 synthetic stuff. I acadentally unplugged the sending wire so i don't know what the pressure is like yet.
It is a JDM motor. Will this make the oil pressure shoot up because of diff in measurments? |
