Question Ignition Ghost

My 89 N/A Supra has an issue with the starter, alarm or ignition system.

First I removed all aftermarket alarms (3 each) {moron}

Disabled the factory by jumping the hood latch sensor.

The vehicle will not turn over at all on short trips on warm days.

I have put a new Exide battery with 850 CCA, performed loads check on the system which checked fine.

The ghost is the starter disable will activate and not let the ignition engage until it is jumped.

My remote voltmeter say's 12. 5 V and still nothing.

I have tried the multiple lock unlock routine. I have thoroughly cleaned the connection on the ignition switch.

Does any one know what could cause this intermittent condition?

Should I just hard wire a starter button on?

Any advice is appreciated.

THX,

Jim

Found the issue : )
Damn previous owner had four different alarms installed (paranoid)
Found an aftermarket alarm stuffed way under the dash that was still active.
Problem fixed : )
