Rough Idle?????
Well we finnaly got the motor started, after fixing all the little minor problems, its idling very rough. and it will eventually die. i noticed that i was missing a couple of vacuum lines though. but what my question is, we have a broken knock sensor. we have a new one on order. will that cause the rough idle, or is it the vacuum lines that are missing?? the vacuum lines are after the afm too by the way, they are actually right on the intake manifold. just let me know, and i appreciate all the feedback!!

if the knock sensor works the same as the ones on GM cars then yes it could. on GM cars the knock sensor is what controls the advance and retarding of the timing.a missing vacume hose can do the same thing. i know if your air filter tube is not on or lose the car will stall. forgot to tighten mine up after replacing the air filter

the knock sensor is a bitch if it is broke or not hooked up, i found that out cuz my car lost all power because of it, it was pretty weird. i think it is the knock sensor but it's important to not have a vaccum leak also.
