Car Keeps On Idling Wierd....
Ok after I drive the car at a steady pace( lets say 55 mph in 5th gear at around 1800 rpm) for about 5 to 10 min. I come to a red light, I put the car in neutral and it either idles at 500 rpm or it will die completely. I then restart the car and it will either idle back to normal or idle like shit for a little bit and then return to normal idle. I did a self diagnostic and code 14 popped up. Code 14 is IGNITION SIGNAL. Anyone have any ideas?? I just want to fix this issue. I dont know if it only happens at high speeds because I drove the car at 140 mph on the highway for about 15 min straight and the problem did not occur. The car ran perfectly. IF ANYONE HAS HAD THIS PROBLEM PLEASE LET ME KNOW.

I think the bigger suprise is you drove 140 for 15 minutes and didnt get pulled over!!

Sounds like a something simple just isnt all full potential.Check plugs and filters and vaccume lines.Get a bottle of injector cleaner and dump that in the tank ,pull the cap off your rotor and make sure the contacts arent burned out.Basic tune-up junk.

i have the same problem to, ive just kinda ignored it. but ive found it never does it till the engine is warmed up, ill drive it normal and then ill pull up to a stop sign or a light and it will just drop from a 700rpm to 500rpm and it will idel very rough, i found just to push on the gas and let it sit at about 1000-1500 rpms and let the oil pressure sit for a while and let it off, and it will fix that problem for a while. but i have had it die but it will turn itself back on.
i think my code still is just the cold start sensors |

I'm willing to agree with both those other guys though. 140 and you didn't brake something, warp your head, or get pulled over?! Where do you live maybe i need to move out there! |
