Default Gauging intrest in fiberglass mk3 parts...

Hey everyone, My dad used to make custom surfboards back in the 80s, So he has a lot of fiberglass experience and tools. And I was thinking of making some molds of supra parts, Such as fenders, Front bumpers, Hoods, Door skins, etc. All ultra light replacements for offroad use (drag racing, etc.). The fenders and doors would be very thin and would crack easily if hit, So i wouldnt recomend them for road use. So if anyone would be interested, let me know. I would sell these parts for very cheap, Just material cost and some labor(mostly to keep my dad interested), Im not out to make a profit, Just make some lightweight mk3 parts. So let me know!!

If you could make rear wheel arches about 2 inch wide then you would be a very popular guy in the UK, they would probably make you the king of GB (well almost the king) I don’t know why but most of our Supra`s suffer from rusty rear wheel arches; it may have something to do with the amount of salt they put down on the roads in the winter. The other thing I noticed is the amount of Mk III 1986 Supra`s you still have running, many of ours are MK III 1989-1992 Turbo`s

how about an mk4 style dash but on the mk3 you know how it wraps around the driver? something like that that mwould not bolt on but screw on or clamp on and connect from the dash to the shifter? that would be cooli was thinking about doing that but have not figured out materials and since your experienced already

Were going to use the actual parts off my car to make molds out of molding clay. All the mounts are going to be fiberglassed in afterwards. Im going to start with hoods at least, and they maybe move on to fenders. The real problem i see with the hoods is the struts, They would be way to powerful with a light hood. I guess I could just take one off, Or also make/sell a rod kit like in most cars and get rid of the struts totally. My goal is to get my own car to at/below 3000 lbs and keep a full interior, just to do it. That will definatley require removing some metal though lol. And I definatley want to get some weight off the front.

i know its a bitch, but i might have came up with a solution
i might to come up with a two piece hood
so it'll be strong and light at the same time
