Default can you swap in a 2jz into the mk3

ok well my girl freind/fiance wants a supra I've always liked the mk3 a bonus for me. Know very little about the cars other then looked at a few over the years. Me personally haven't driven any thing but a rx-7 in the past five or more. When we get this car from what i gather it has a blown head gasket seams common from what I've read and heard. I would like to drop a twin turbo 2jz motor from the mk4 into the car can this be done fairly easily. Not afraid of fab work own a machine/welding shop catering to small one of custom work. Just trying to gather how much and what I'm going to have to do to accomplish my goals for the car I would like to see it perform on par with a mk4 or 3rd gen rx-7

It fits. If you want to retain the stock twins, you're going to have to do a small bit of firewall denting so the rear turbo will clear, after that it will bolt in. I don't know if you need 1JZ mounts or if the 2JZ mounts fit, but there's really no fabrication to be had.

Also you'll need a 1JZ R154 bellhousing to bolt it all together.

There's a lot of other small things that you'll need, and they add up quickly.
There was a guy near me that was doing a 2JZ swap, and his parts tally was almost $10k and he wasn't done yet.

Just find out exactly what you need, theres some good info on supraforums.com and even some on supramania.com, but not as much.

i dont believe it will "bolt" right in. ive heard you got to get motor mounts made, got to do all the electrical, then depending on what tranny you are gonna use
