Noob to my new Supra - Mirrors
 

High folks. Got a question regarding Power Mirrors. My glass portion of the door mirrors are junk. Pass side is cracked, Driver side has water stains on the inside. Has anyone removed/replaced the mirror portion on their car? I'm looking into removing some from a parts car, but I dont want the entire assembly, just the actual mirror. Oh yeah, I picked me up an 88 Turbo, Auto, Targa. Runs like a champ. I had to replace the big air tube to the turbo 'cause it was massively cracked, other than that, I've shimmed the waste-gate, and I've been lurking here. Great Forum, thanks all!

carefull running the car with a shimmed wastegate as ive heard it can lean you out. as for the mirrors, why not just replace the whole assembly?

My Supra has been re-painted body color red, and the finish is top-notch. I want to keep the same bodies.

I think by replacing the whole assembly he means the inside of the mirror, motor and all. Not the plastic covering thats painted.

You can buy just the glass (plastic0. A auto glass shop can do it too.
