Engine build...

Well I keep having problems with my motor so I found another supra for 400 bucks I want to take the motor out and build the motor in it and then swap them. So my question is what mods can I put into it while building it to get some nice power out of it without spending like over 1500 bucks or so? Its a n/a btw.

Depending on how much wear and tear the engine has you can quickly burn through that budget just doing a stock rebuild.Since you have a spare car though ,you can part it out on ebay and possibly double your budget before summer. If you feel confident grinding on your engine ,your best low dollar improvement would likely be to port match the head.

How much HP would that gain? I have port n polished Iron heads but never an aluminum one. I have a friend who has a machine shop so I get a discount also. I want to get all new parts. New rings, pistons, rods, bearings, you know, "the works"

Boost it, you'll spend less and make more. Upgrading an NA will give you minimal gains, It's really not worth it in my opinion. If you don't want to boost, save your money and just do a stock rebuild.

Isnt it a huge pain in the ass to convert a 7mge to a 7mgte?? How much overall would it cost?

hey...if you decide to sell the shell let me know...Im interested in finding one to build for my ten year old daughter...I know its a bit early..but you never know. Time flyes by very quickly, besides I rather start early than late when she starts to go off to college.
