Engine build question...
I am rebuilding my motor during the winter time and am woundering... Can you put mk4 turbo supra pistons in a mk3??? The reason I am asking this is because after I rebuild my motor I am going to slap on a t4 turbo(not without proper fuel management of course). I am looking to make a 500 hp daily driver. If anyone can give me some input on the mk4 internals it would be nice.
I was also woundering if I should just get a re-ring kit(contains complete gasket set, main bearings, rod bearings, thrust washers (if applicable) and a ring set. Rings: Std., .020, .040.) This cost $274. OR Major Engine kit(contains complete gasket set, set of pistons and rings, main bearings, rod bearings, thrust washers, timing belt, balance shaft bearings (if applicable), and a set of expansion plugs, Pistons & Rings: Std., .020, .040. Bearings: Std., 10, 20, 30.(does not contain camshaft, timing kit or oil pump). This costs $454. OF COURSE I WOULD GET A MHG AND RESURFACE THE HEAD AND BLOCK. |
