i have been scouring the internet on information on upgrading the 1jzgte. Most pages that would be any help are in japanese. I have been down the quarter once and have broken into the 13's(car is stock apart from 3"exhaust and 13psi. would like to make low13's high12's. Not setting sites too high for street car. Just finding it hard to find any info on someone who has done any mods to this engine.

well... you should be able to get there fairly easyish
intake, exhaust, intercooler, intercooler hardpipes slightly larger than stock.. those are the first cheaper upgrades then you're lookin at upgrading the turbo, i would suggest a single turbo as they're not as much of a nightmare to plumb in as opposed to a twin turbo setup also the 1jz is very very similar to the 2jz so you could look at what the 2jz guys are doing as mods to their engines this is the 1.5j (2jz block with 1jz head) that i work on frequently... take a look around JZA70 R 1jz Supra

LOL can't be done
don't take your work there :P 2jzgte block + 2jz head gasket and head bolts + 1jz head and turbo's etc, bolt it all together and you have a 1.5j you will need to slightly lengthen the water pipes to the water pump area as the 2jz block is taller but nothing major needs doin

nope... all 1jz... unless of course you're upgrading and modding and all those yummy higher boost things
then you could put a 2jzgte fuel pump or walbro fuel pump in etc but if it's gonna be a stocker 1.5j then all original is fine for a bit
