Damaged air intake hose
 
i have a dryrotted air intake hose that needs replacing(duh) but im not a car kinda guy. i want to install it myself but i dont want to damage anything. how do i do it?

i have the replacment hose already.

pics? if you have them thnx.

I did mine first thing. PO tried to silicone it, no go.

New hose at the dealer was $49.

Pretty basic really, unplug what's plugged into it.

Undo the large clamps on both sides.

New one is actually easier to put in, then getting the old one out.

Don't forget the little hose on the bottom that goes to your PS pump

idle up valve.

Silicone is absolutely a no go...

just get a new or used accordian hose on ebay. and then do the step by step thingy...

its easier to do it right than to find out its got pvc piping like mine... :-(
