boost on stock with ct26?
How many psi can i boost into my 7mgte with a MHG,FCD, Fuel pressure regulator, head bolts and stock ct26? and what HP expect? (engine rebuilt) how many would still be secure for my engine after stock fuel cut?
i have been reading and i didn?t find information of this, i would like to read a post of someone who has done it step by sted and has some numbers, like: with a ct26 at 17 psi the dyno says 360hp????? or so. They all say the engine takes 500hp but how many psi is it????? and how many psi can stock injectors feed after 14psi? i hope you can help me. |

A stock ct26 is only good to about 14 psi, 250ish rwhp. Modified iwth ball bearings and a new compressor wheel etc they can do over 400, not sure at what boost. The fcd isnt a good idea to use much past stock boost, because it will start making your motor lean. The MHG and studs should be good past what the bottom end can take. Your fuel pump and injectors will need upgrading too. I think your stock injectors cant handle 14 psi, If anything over. Maybe with the pressure turned up a little though. Get some 550s and a MAFT pro, Or a lex afm and SAFC, but youll need to get it dyno tuned.

for the loss. That means bad. You should really only use an fcd if your boosting to fuel cut sometimes, Not a way to turn up the boost more. lol.

Apparantly someone wasn't paying attention during the FCD lecture. Fuel Cut Defense is just that. It defends AGAINST the FUEL CUT associated with a turbo car. It allows you to be able to have more fuel at higher boost levels so you don't run a lean conditon. That's what an FCD is used for. Duh.

I thought a fcd just modify the signal from the air flow meter to ecu telling the ecu less air is entering so fuel cut does not occur because fuel cut works off of the amount of air entering the engine in relation can calculate how much boost the turbo is producing. I'm just guessing though.
