The 1jz comes with twin turbos
But it has a smaller displacement than the 7m, and u can get bigger power with a single turbo Sum pplw with 1jz engine even does a single turbo conversion The 1jz and the 7m are almost identical engines, but the 7m has better aftermarket support The only downside is the hg problem Besides that, the 7m is the superior engine to me

it,s all about the bottom end. 15000 on any motor and your going to be seeing some serious power but even then what about suspension, brakes, role cage or at least a hoop. At that point we could say go 7m or go 2j. some times I feel like it's an argument over the lakers or the bulls. If you said how much bang for buck, I would say 7m. Good luck, I would love to see pics of the build. Peace
BTW, I think that is a good deal. Normal shipping could be up to 500 dollars, so thats good I paid 300 to get a 7m motor with out trans, shiped from texas to oregon. Last edited by skunk; 12-27-2006 at 05:46 AM. |

plenty of aftermarket support because it is a very popular engine. dont even worry bout the hp numbers (there good), and if you take care of it any engine is very realiable.
