Smile 1986 Supra performance chip

I see these performance chips advertised that plug into the wiring for the Intake Air Temp. Sensor. (two wire)
The 86 Supra has a 3 wire Air Thermo Sensor. 1 lead coming from the ignition switch, and 2 going to the ECU. This is all contained in one plug that controls the Air flow meter. Has anyone tried one of these. I looked at one and it appears to be just a 4 ohm resistor. Looks like I would need to unplug the connector to the Air flow meter. Jumper the center line from the ignition switch to the Air Flow meter, then plug in the resistor to the two outer connectors going back to the ECU.

Anyone done this?

They are a waste of $$$$$.

So are the ones that hook into the coolant temp sensor.

That's all I've got to say about that!(Forrest Gump)

all it does is tell the ecu that the air is colder and/or more volume then it really is, its a mod that has been around since MAF and MAS and TPI, not worth the hassle and you gain very little.
