hey all! i have an 89' supra and when it idles it idles at 500 RPM not 5000, in between the 1 and the 0. but when it does black smoke comes out of the exhaust, i heard this is because it is burning rich and i would like to know what i can do to stop this. please help me out.

is ur 89 turbo?

if so... go check all your intercooler pipes.. you have a big leak

get another replacement pipe or do up the hose clamp that's fallen off

you just blew off a pipe most likely while you were boosting

ok i'll try it later today. if it isnt the problem i will be back on here to see what else i can do

i have another question. how would i check to see if it was the pipe or not? is there anything specific i can do?
