tuning question!!
I have a friend with an 87 mk3. We are trying to find out some info for tuning the car properly. Here's the list of mods.
Turbo Greddy T78 6 RC injectors 550CC HKS VPC HKS GCC HKS PF-C-Con blitz 272 exhaust and intake cams AEM cam gears HKS metal head gasket 1mm oversized pistons. Fuel pressure regulator (36PSI idle and 34 when hot) Chipped ECU walbro 255 fuel pump Greddy profec-b boost controller 3" exhaust system from Greddy all harnesses are 87, including the ones for the HKS products Right now he is in break in, No tuning, and no PSI at all. The ignition timing is at 18 Degrees, and it should be in 12-14, so we would like to know how many degress we should retard the timing with the cam gear, since the CAS won't allow of us to retard it to factory spec anymore because of the mods. We would also like to know whats a proper A/F mixture for this setup with a wideband. He is thinking in putting an HKS AIC, to have 2 more injectors. I know by personal experience that 550 injectors my not feed properly such a big turbo, but with the AIC i think he can make it probably. What do you guys think? where he needs to improve?
