cracked head
 

I'm doing the head gasket job on my car and I just found out the head is cracked, that's the whole reason my head gasket blew. ANyways I'm wondering if anyone knows a good spot to pick up a new head for a couple hundred bucks? Any recommendations? I think I may just call up a few wreckers and see what they're asking. Will 7MGE heads work on 7MGTE's?

ya it will work. they are the same heads, only the intake cams are different. id say check the wreckers and then check the forums.

is there a way to tell the difference between a gte head and a ge head? i've got one in pretty good condition just might need to be re surfaced if you are going to put on a metal head gasket

it's not a metal head gasket. it's high quality though, trusted certified mechanic approved so it's fine by me. I don't plan on over-boosting or anything past twaeking up stock stuff so I'll be fine. Anyone have any heads for sale? I'm gonna buy the best price so put the offers in!
