My bro's was doing the same thing. It was a short with his. I think the supras have a safety system where if tehres a short, it shuts off all power. I would take a test light and see what has power and what doesnt. (fuses and relays)

Start looking here.....
http://www.cygnusx1.net/Supra/Librar...ction=D&Page=3 Perhaps the fusible link blew near the battery.

My old 86.5 did the same thing and what it was the negetive battery terminal was cracked and loose and when you turned the key on at first the lights and everything worked then go for a start and everything died and went completely off. It might look fine if it is the factory one just grab on the insulated part and shake if it is loose then tighten or replace.

Battery Neglect
^^^
So true. You would not believe how many vehicles come into the shop for a smog test, or some other work, and we find that the battery terminals are totally wasted. Powdery corrosion all over them. It is probably the most neglected parts on the car. New terminals are only a $1 or 2 each. Use baking soda mixed in warm water to pour and brush onto the battery terminals. It neutralizes the acid. Then use plain water to rinse it all off. You can get a post and terminal cleaner tool at any parts store. Those little 'anti-corrosion' felt discs you put under the new terminal work to keep them clean. Cut the cable back some, and strip the insulation with a knife. If there is white powdery corrosion in the copper wiring down in the cable, trim it back until its all gone, or replace the cable.

HEY thanx guys.
it was the fusable link. replaced it and it fired right up after adjusting it self. when the power went out it's like the ecu lost it's settings at first. but i just let it warm in to it. and it's all good now.
